For Gender-Diverse Adults Navigating Identity and Transition

I support adults who want a warm, affirming space to explore identity, navigate transition, and feel more connected to who they truly are.

Feeling Stuck Between Places

You feel strain in relationships.
You worry about how your career will be affected.
Partners feel unsure.
Family members pull back.
Friends misunderstand.

You feel disconnected from your body. The mirror does not feel right. Your voice or name feels like it belongs to someone else.

You feel stuck in an in-between space where the inside and the outside do not match.

You worry about safety, acceptance, and how others might react. You monitor every situation to see if it is safe to be yourself.

You feel like parts of your life are on hold until you can fully step into who you are.

You find yourself thinking things like:

  • “It feels like my body and my brain are on different pages.”
  • “I fear for my safety when people find out that I’m a trans person.”
  • “I’m tired of feeling like I’m stuck between versions of myself.”

Your Reaction Makes Sense

Living authentically while managing grief, fear, and uncertainty is not a small task.

Your feelings are a response to real misalignment.

They are a sign that you have been trying to live truthfully in environments that have not always understood or protected you.

You deserve a place where your experience is taken seriously and your identity is met with respect, clarity, and care.

Why This Pain Runs so Deep

Much of this pain comes from being misunderstood, questioned, or asked to shrink yourself to keep the peace.

Choosing yourself feels like you’re putting your entire life—all that you’ve already built—at risk.

Therapy helps you separate these external pressures from your own truth so you can reconnect with who you are beneath all the noise.

How Therapy Helps

A grounded, human relationship
We talk as two people. You do not have to spend your time explaining gender—or how it shapes your life—to be understood. You get to focus on your actual inner experience.
A pace that supports clarity and safety
Identity unfolds over time. You get space to explore without pressure to define anything before you are ready.
Support for dysphoria and overwhelm
We build self-compassion and help shift your inner voice to soften moments that feel intense or disorienting.
Navigating relationships and communication
We work on boundaries, trust, and staying connected to yourself even when others respond with confusion, fear, or rejection.
Support for medical transition when needed
I understand WPATH requirements, and when needed, provide support letters for gender-affirming procedures. You have someone who understands the medical system and can walk alongside you.
Room for all parts of your life

Your career, relationships, stress, joy, and goals matter here. You are more than your gender journey.

What Begins to Shift

As therapy deepens, you start to feel less internally divided and more aligned—who you are on the inside feels safer to show on the outside.

The pressure to monitor every interaction lightens, and daily life feels less overwhelming.

Boundaries become easier to set because you trust yourself more.

You notice yourself showing up authentically with a sense of freedom and pride.
Your needs feel clearer.
You have room to expand your attention beyond gender to the rest of your life.

You return to experiences that felt out of reach.

Activities that bring you relief or joy no longer feel distant. You begin to rebuild a life that reflects who you are becoming.

Your choices feel more intentional.
You listen to yourself with greater compassion.

Most of all, you begin to feel aligned. Not perfect. Not finished. Simply more yourself.

Why Work With Me

For the past ten years, I have specialized in working with transgender and gender-diverse adults.

My understanding of gender and how profoundly it influences our lives spans more than two decades of study and clinical work, beginning in undergraduate gender studies and deepening through years of practice.

I understand gender not only as an identity, but as a force that shapes how we move through the world: our relationships, careers, bodies, safety, and sense of belonging. Many of the clients I work with are high-functioning and successful in many parts of their lives, yet carrying significant internal strain from living in environments that have not fully made room for who they are.

My approach is relational, conversational, and deeply human.

You will not find rigid protocols, surface-level coping skills, or a focus on symptoms alone.

This is long-term, collaborative work built on trust and connection. Our therapy helps you live in a way that speaks to who you are and create a life that feels stable, meaningful, and yours.
